Aquaseal celebrates three years of support for local ice hockey team

Aquaseal has kept a close relationship with local ice hockey team, Whitley Warriors for the past three years. The team is based in the northern coastal town of Whitley Bay where they practise and play at their home arena – the Whitley Bay Ice Rink.
Aquaseal has kept a close relationship with local ice hockey team, Whitley Warriors for the past three years. The team is based in the northern coastal town of Whitley Bay where they practise and play at their home arena – the Whitley Bay Ice Rink.
For local sports teams such as this one, funding is essential for the continual running of the club, travel funds, equipment and to ensure that the teams can continue to compete each season. It is also used to promote the club and ticket sales, for example, they run the Warriors Radio which provides live commentary of home game fixtures and the Facebook page where team players are interviews after the match. It’s reasons like this why we’re delighted to have sponsored the club for such a lengthy amount of time.
As well as the team who are currently in the National Ice Hockey League, they also have a juniors and ladies team which is also popular with players and spectators.
Aquaseal continues to support the club by being their official sock tape sponsor and with regular funding. Talking about the partnership, Aquaseal Rubber’s Managing Director, Jason Armstrong said:
“The Aquaseal Rubber team are immensely proud to have supported the running of a local club for three years and counting. We always try to follow the scores and get to the home matches when possible. The relationship has been very beneficial for us too, sponsoring the team has given us great levels of exposure and new business. We hope to continue this partnership for many years to come.”
